I've decided to have a little spot on the Internet where all my students may stay up to date with what is happening in the Core French classes :)
The grade 7 classes will be completing their French themed mobiles this week. We will have a gallery session to allow the students to see each others' work from all three classes. This project has been a good way for me to get to know the students, how they work independently, and about their interests.
In the grade 4, 4/5 & 5/6 classes I am continuing with a heavy focus on speaking French. I am using the AIM program for the first time. It seems to be very engaging and successful. The students use hand gestures while learning high frequency vocabulary words. So far, they are able to introduce themselves and ask/answer how they are doing.
Also, this week will be a busy one with both schools hosting their Curriculum Nights on Thursday. I hope to meet as many parents/guardians as possible. Hope to see you there!
